Welcome to Ikaria, an unexplored, slow-paced, hospitable island in the Aegean Sea, Greece. Discover Faros, one of the most popular seaside touristic villages at the eastern end of the island.
In the village, guests can go to the stone-paved traditional square, as well as enjoy local dishes in the seaside cafeterias and the taverns of the village, as well as to get the necessary supplies from the mini-market next door.
Every year the village’s feast is celebrated on August 10th, while in July the annual local bazaar takes place. Evon will give you more details.
For the lovers of nature, there are mountain paths and beautiful hiking trails. Also, Faros is ideal for water sports, such as diving, sailing and canoeing. It is worth visiting in the surrounding areas the Drakano Tower, the beach Iero, the Italian fortress, the beach Kerame, Agia Kyriaki with the thermal waters, Ai-Giorgis and the Megalithic monuments.
